Reading comprehension speed dating
In the lesson students talk about meeting a partner and dating, watch a short film, and read and discuss speed-dating questions.

Our desks are currently set-up in a "U" formation, so this works well. Before I had individual whiteboards, we would use laminated paper or paper in page protectors - basically anything with a wipe-off surface.
Students draw a line down their whiteboards to divide the surface in half.
You might also consider asking students why they think you've asked them to engage in a certain activity.
Use this activity to increase pupil's knowledge about different methods of seed dispersal.
Pupils become an expert about one method and have to share their knowledge with others, whilst gathering information about other methods.
Step 5 Get feedback from the whole class on their dream and nightmare dates.
Step 6 Tell your students they are going to watch a short film in which a young woman called Ava goes speed-dating. Ask them to come up with 10 questions they would ask if they went speed-dating.
