Wsus last status report not updating sccm
I forgot to put this client in the SCCM WSUS GPO that I created (we have a GPO in our domain for standard WSUS and SCCM WSUS).
Added the client to the proper GPO, rebooted the PC, ran a Software Updates Scan Cycle and Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle and the errors disappeared, the deployment succeeded and all 3 PC’s showed in the console as Compliant!
‘Software updates scan cycle’ action is responsible for scanning the machine and checking what updates installed and what are missing.
If this action cannot be performed or fails it will display unknown deployment status in SCCM Software Updates.
When checking the status of the deployment under Monitoring in the admin console, I noticed that 2 of the clients that it was deployed to were Compliant, but the 3rd was listed under Unknown, and said “Client check passed/Active”.
In checking the clients file, I saw these errors: DUH!Now, right-click on the System Management container we just created and click Properties.Click the Security tab, add your SCCM server, give it Full Control permissions. If you have a proxy server on your network, you can configure WSUS to use the proxy server. If there is a corporate firewall between WSUS and the Internet, you may need to configure your firewall to ensure that WSUS can obtain updates.
